Why can't Sarangan use tamil வாத்தியம கலைஞர்கள். You get plenty in Sydney. Eg: Iynkaran, Janakan, Kishan, Segaram etc.

Is Sarankan thing these Tamil artist is not up to the standard?

Sarankan does the performance for money and his glory. Title வித்யா விஷாரத் is a total fraud and con title.

Sarankan never helps Tamil cause, real Colombo Damil.

It is not வித்யா விஷாரத். It is வாத்ய(Sitar) விஷாரத். It is a title given by the university of Lucknow in North India. It is the title given to its BA music graduates after 6 years of study in their fields. I know that because I am a Vaadya (Tabla) Vishaaradh from the same uni. I entered my first year when Sarangan sir was in his final year. He is not only a BA (vaadya visharadh), he is also a fantastic Sitar player who passed with first class.

Saragan did have Krishan Segaram playing Miruthangam at the show. What a band it was.
Hats off to Sarangan, who music directed all those musicians from various cultural backgrounds. Also helping those singers from various language backgrounds(and the thamil children who were bon in Australia who cannot speak Thamil properly) to pronounce Thamil well. The band musicians are all masters of what they do and it is facinating to see the respect they have for our thamilan sarangan.
His music talent cannot be confined to Eelam tamil or Srilankan tamil or even thamil nadu tamil....its going to be global. It already is.

Something happened to my tamil fonts. So I am writing again in English.

Everyone who does a job is entitled to earning his or her hard-earned money. If sarangan is doing an excellent job with his music and is being paid for it why is it bothering others?
Why should only musicians and artist sacrifice their earnings when people in other trade are earning thumping salaries and profits? Cannot fathom.

Artists and musicians have been rewarded with gold in our Tamil old days. If an artist or a musician thinks that they cannot earn through their god given art form and stop.. who are the losers? We the tamilians are.

The reason why I am angry with these people who do not know what they are blogging about is because our organization has time and again received funds from Sarangan for different projects in our Tamil eelam(we have evidence).

He actually spends a portion of his monthly earnings to charities. I know that because we have received funds form him and know of others who do.

I know for a fact that there are many other individuals and organizations that have benefited through Sarangan. Please come forward and give your comments about Sarangan.
There are people who do not like to talk about the good deeds they do and Sarangan is very clear on that.
At times when people write rubbish trying to tarnish someone’s talents good people should not remain silent.

Anyway, I thank those who made us (me) angry , because if not for those comments I (we) would not have thought of disclosing sarangans good heart.

Come on those who have benefited. don’t remain silent thinking why should we bark back at dogs. Sometimes we have to.

Mr. Kirukkan.....what you said doesn't make sense. Doesn't relate to this thread.
anyway....
Yes..we should celebrate sarangans achievements.
When you celebrate when Indians like rahuman make news, why not for our people??
Do you think our eelam thamilan should always be under appreciated?
People like Thavil thatchanamoorthy, balumahendra and Sarangan and many others from our country have made the Indian industry turn back and have a look with astonishment.
We should be proud of them and show our support.
Eelath thamilan (for that fact all Thamilan...why only eelath thamilan?) has this habit of feeling jealous and showing sarcastic reactions to his own people. Thats probably why we haven't progressed much.
I am sure you are not a Eelam thamilan. You must be surely an Indiath thamizhan trying to suppress our Eelam talents ..huge talents like ouir Sarangan...He will make it bigger in the scene..I am sure..
There is a huge fan following for his talent and charity work.
Yes ...why not a fan club for our thamilan??

yes i know about sarangan's charity works.
My heart felt thanks to him for being a caring person and also please ask him to be the way he is(does not talk about his charity works)rather than get irritated by comments of those who are jealous (and do not know about him), and start blogging about the good works that has been done.
Many people do good stuff on stage and the media and it clearly shows the popularity they are trying to seek.
On the other hand there are people like Sarangan and some others that I know who do much bigger charity projects silently.

lets not disturb people like that. If not the loss is for us the Thamilar.

I would like to thank Sarangan for his excellent musical show and the jaffna hindu old boys association for organising that event; and hats off to all those contestants who took part in the geethavani awards. It takes great courage to perform on stage.
And congratualations to the winners..you all deserved it..babitha, dr. aravinthan, kavya and divya...simply superb.
Some comments about the program- the organisers could have saved time by limiting the time taken for the speeches and the school songs; and also by not delaying too much to announce the winners. Also the female comperer should improve on her stage performance and mainly speaking the thamil language in the right form.
Another request.we know it is a competition, but we need more songs from Sarangan...may be make it a two- day event.
It was a great show and we are lookign forward to the next one.
Thanks.

I am sure that you cannot organise or enjoy. You are a vaikal paddadai dog.Tamils were already divided because of people like you. Good luck!

I have watched Geethavani awards for the last five years and it only keeps getting better. Thank you organizers of the show and Sarangan and his talented musicians.

@ kirukaan(is that your real name or are you implying what you are??)- instead of asking whether they are elam tamils/srilankan tamils or indian tamils, you should be proud that people from so many different cultural backgrounds are keen to take part in a Tamil event and sing and perform for tamil songs.

It didnt matter which background you came from on that day..all those who attended the show including the audience had one thing in common- TAMIL and above all love for MUSIC!
We need more shows like these to bring out those talented singers and motivate them. The show was a great success. Great performances by all the singers and musicians.
Best wishes to Sarangan and the Jaffna old boys Association.

whoever all of you are

humbleness is a great attribute to musicians and sadly it is lacking in Sarangan.

I have been to AR Rahman, SPB and KJ Jesudas' programs and they were so humble and appreciative of their opportunities given by people and this man was no man in AUS before JHC Geethavani Awards to sound arrogant and likely paid people to make comments from India and play it in front of 1000 sydneysiders where one of them clearly said that is what she was told to say is underestimating our intelligence.

Sarangan, understand your roots and don't rely on these no hopers just only can blog but not financially support any of your projects. Sooner you realise is better for you mate. I heard you say that you got people to sing in India, that is a bit of BS mate, they were alraedy professional singers mate

Manidhan said...

The previous blog from "anonymous" clearly shows the person's ignorance and jealousy of Sarangan's talent. JHC gethavani awards is just one of the many shows in which Sarangan has entertained us.You probably dont know anything about him.
And do you mean to say he paid those renowned singers to talk about him? do you really think those idols could be bought like that with money? Get a life mate..
Manidhan.

For what Sarangan has achieved in Austrlia and world over he can be demanding yet he doesn't.
Even a new comer these days are making a big fuss why not sarangan.
Why should sarangan encourage all those singers?
He can easily have his show and people are waiting to see only him.
It is kind of him to allow so many talents in his show.

Organisations and producers do shows to make money(some sped it on good stuff) but not without such an artist.

You said sarangan was no body.
Everybody is a no body at one time in their life. You have to work hard and of course be talented to reach from nobody to somebody.
You who can only make comments is still a nobody.

Will some one buy a ticket to see you mate??

I wish Sarangan doesn't see these comments.
Artists are also very soft hearted...you know Mr.Anonymous.

Iyngaran Kishan....are still learning Tabla. Maharishi is a Master in what he does.
May be Iyngaran and Kishan should play and show to sarangan and he may like it.

I play in a band and one thing I learnt was that when you are a team (band) you should not keep on changing members. One thing is that it is not ethical and the other is that synergy may get lost.

Anyway I dont care who plays for Sarangan as far as Sarangan is on stage things happen
