Palani Odhuvaar is well versed in
reciting Devaram. He
has received the title “Devara Isaimani” from Darumapuram Adhinam Devara Patasalai. In addition he has received several awards
from various temples and Tamil Nadu Associations in India and overseas. His
current position is Odhuvaar Moorthi at Palani Thandayuthapani Devasthanam
Murugan Temple, Tamil Nadu, India.
He has been performing daily for Pothigai TV
in India over the last 6 years. He
continues to visit Sri Lanka regularly.
Additionally he has participated in
many programs overseas. Palani Odhuvaar
has also participated in the World Saiva Conference held in 2007 in London.
He has received the awards ‘Pannisai
Arasu’, ‘Saiva Thirumurai Kaavalar’ and ‘Thirumuari Theamuthan’ for his
performances in overseas.
Palani Odhuvar has been invited to Australia second
time by the Sri Venkateswara Temple, Helensburgh NSW to recite “Thevara
Pannisai” in their Shiva Mohotsavam festival 2014.
We are fortunate to have him in
Melbourne for a few days from 6th to 19th March. He will be performing “Thevara Pannisai” at
Shiva Vishnu temple during the Mahothsavam (8th to 18th
March).
Additionally “Thevara Pannisai” will
be held at the following places as well.
