The festival of ten nights is one of the most prominent festivals of Hinduism. The festival is dedicated to the three main goddesses of Hinduism - Goddesses Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathy.
Colourful decorations, Special Poojas / Abhishekams, bajans and Cultural Programmes are arranged throughout the Navarathiri festival period.

The Durga Temple is the only temple in Australia that houses the deities of Navarathiri - Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathy.
· Sep 20th - Sep 23rd - The first Four days are celebrated for Goddess Durga for prosperity and self belief.
· Sep 24th - Sep 26th - Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped for the next three days in her various aspects as the goddesses of peace, plenty and bliss
· Sep 27th - Sep 29th - Goddess Saraswati is the goddess spiritual knowledge. She is worshipped during the final three days of the Navarathiri.
· Sunday September 24th - Maha Chandi Homam - very auspicious Homam during the Navarathiri Festival period
Sep 24th - Nava Chandi Homam (from 8:30am Sunday)
Sep 24th - Thiru Vilaku Pooja (from 7:45pm Sunday Goddess Lakshmi's Third day)
Sep 30th - Vijaya Dasami,Temple is open for the whole day for Vidhyarambam & Evening Maanambu.
Prize Giving for Durga Competitions & Thirukkural at 6 pm.
