About SLS Trust:
Sustainable
Living Solutions Trust was formed in Sri Lanka in June 2012. The primary
objective of SLST is job creation. Free handouts and infrastructure projects
are not within its scope. SLST has taken on itself the challenge in a most
neglected area of activity.
The
latest initiative to provide marketing support to rural products has been a big
strategic step.
The
organisation works with people at the grassroots level. It also supports
suicide prevention activities in the North where the suicide rate is very high.
SLST is working on an ambitious program to
distribute 5000 solar lights to help children to study at home. Combined with
this is the engineering initiative to manufacture these lights locally and
generate employment.
SLST
is well recognised for its financial discipline and effectiveness.
SLS Trust is non religious and non political.
