Aadi Pooram
Aadi Pooram festival is observed to celebrate Mother Durga who is said to have come into this world on this occasion to bless the people. People therefore worshipped her in order to secure happiness not only for themselves but also for their loved ones.
Our Durga Amman Temple is celebrating Aadi Pooram on Friday 5th August (from 5:30pm), with a Durga Moolamantra Homam, 108 Sanghabhishekam and Oonchal Celebration that night.
Also there will be a special 108 Milk abhishekam (Paal Kudam) and special Theeba Arathanai arranged on Sunday 7th August (from 9:30am), to continue celebrations of Goddess Durga's Aadi Pooram.
