Maha Shivaratri is a yearly celebration honoring Lord Shiva. Keeping an all-night vigil and praying is part of the festival, which is symbolized by Shiva as "overcoming darkness and ignorance" in one's life and the world.
In Sydney Durga Temple, we have 4 kala poojas arranged. Arrangements are made for devotees to do milk abhishekam with their own hands. Additionally, Thirumurai parayanam cultural programs are arranged throughout the night.
