Application Form for Music (Vocal) Competition

 

Instructions:

Dear Applicant,

Please read this section carefully prior to filling the application form:

·         Use BLOCK letters to fill this application form.

·         Competition will be held across 4 categories. The following are the categories and the DOB requirements:

o    Under 12         : DOB on or after 29th Dec 2000

o    Under 21         : DOB between 30/12/1991 and 18/12/2000 (both dates inclusive)

o    Open               : DOB on or before 29/12/1991

o    Duet                : No age restrictions

·         A duet team must comprise of one male and one female.

·         This application must be accompanied by a demo CD/tape

o    The demo CD/tape must only have one song and sung by yourself

o    The song must be in Tamil and semi-classical. For example, Tamil film and devotional songs

o    The duration of the demo song must be between 3 - 5 minutes

o    Accompaniments (musical instruments) or Karaoke tracks are not to be used

o    Use of a Tambura or Shruti box is allowed

o    Label the demo CD/tape with your First & Last names and the mobile number.

·         The demo CD/tape will be used to short-list applicants for the auditions.

·         Applicants invited to the auditions should carry a valid ID (Passport or Driver's License) as a proof of DOB.

·         Auditions will be held over the weekend of 05th and 06th January 2013. Selected applicants will be notified the exact date and time.

·         All applications must reach the organisers by COB 29 th December 2012.

·         The application along with the demo CD/Tape must be posted to:
